The cable car is located in the centre of Selva di Val Gardena and reaches an altitude of 2,260 metres. Once at the top, you’ll be blessed with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains, including Sassolungo, Sassopiatto, and the Sella and Cir massifs. From that position you can also admire the valley’s three towns: Santa Cristina, Selva, and Ortisei. This point marks the start of the 3 kilometre-long freeride mountain biking route and of several other trails.

In addition to being the ideal starting point for excursions around the Sassolungo massif or a great place to spend a few hours exploring the Sella Pass, Ciampinoi is the perfect family-friendly choice. Only a few minutes from Ciampinoi you will find well-known mountain huts such as the refuges at Comici, Vallongia, Ciadinat, and Saslong, which offer a kids’ playground and exquisite cuisine.
